Pietro Gallo is an Italian composer and pianist working across film, media and contemporary music. His approach begins with the dramatic function of a scene: its rhythm, atmosphere, emotional direction and practical production needs. His background in piano, classical and jazz studies, composition, improvisation and production gives him a broad set of tools for writing to picture, while the musical language is always developed in response to the project.
Alongside his screen work, Gallo has developed an international career as a performer and recording artist. That experience continues to shape his sense of timing, interaction, musical character and the relationship between written material and performance. Further specialist training in composition for film, documentaries, advertising and games supports a practical, collaborative approach to scoring from the first conversation through delivery.
